to me it looks like it has some sort of bio-chemicle cannon on it's back. For being an insectoid creature, that fact that it's thorax and abdomen are fused is unique! maybe the object i see as a cannon is some sort or self defense, or maybe am offense to weaken it's prey before consumption? either way i have never seen it's like before! great job
